Alison Walicki

Alison Walicki graduated from Ball State University with her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She earned her undergraduate degree in Communication Disorders from Butler University with a minor in Italian. During graduate school, Alison completed internships in the hospital, private practice, and pre-school settings.

While interning at Henry Ford Cottage Hospital, Alison evaluated, diagnosed, and treated adults and geriatrics with various communication, cognitive, and dysphagia deficits. She has implemented group therapy sessions to improve socialization, language, attention, behavior, and sensory skills in children on the autism spectrum. Alison also utilizes visual/tactile touch cues in therapy to help promote multi-modality learning. Throughout her internships, Alison has continually gained the trust of her clients and built a strong rapport with their families. Alison enjoys integrating her enthusiasm and creativity into each therapy session in order to facilitate the child’s greatest potential.
